    • Q: “Will martial arts, teach my child to be hostile and aggressive?”

      Absolutely not. Children learn a lot about what it means to be respectful and polite here. As a result, kids who weren't violent in the first place become even more respectful and kind. Kids with behavior problems often become very respectful learning self-control. We teach life skills, Self discipline, self control, Character building, respect for other and courtesy.

    • Q: “Does my child face a risk for injury with martial arts?”

      Our program is extremely safe. Our instructors are experts in teaching and making sure that classes are safe at all times. We will insure that your child will stay safe, and have a great time. From stretching to warmups. Injuries do happen sometimes - but they're quite rare.

    • Q: “Can my child still participate in martial arts if they are not athletic?”

      Yes! In fact, martial arts is great for kids who just don't fit into team sports. Kids who never could throw a ball well or run fast find that martial arts is accessible to them. It's something they excel at, and as a result, their confidence grows. Martial Arts training can also enhance other sports.

    • Q: “What ages are the other kids in the martial arts class?”

      We have classes for kids as young as 4, and as old as teenagers. Martial arts is the kind of thing that grows with you. So as kids get older, they learn new techniques, perfect old ones, and advance.

    • Q: “Do boys AND girls take martial arts?”

      Yes! We have a good mix of both girls and boys in our Kid’s martial arts classes! Some people think that the boys are much "stronger and tougher," but in reality this is not true. In fact, often girls are the stronger ones!

    • Q: What will my child learn in the Kids Martial Arts program?

      We teach a mix of many different Martial Arts, Kempo karate, Jujitsu, Krav Maga and Grappling-(BJJ – Submission fighting). We feel that there is no one perfect Martial Art, but when you combine them you will have a deep knowledge of Martial Arts and Self defense.

    • Q:What type of physical shape do I need to be in to start Krav Maga?

      Any. If you are in poor shape or great shape, you can start our Krav Maga program at Champions Martial Arts. You will see a improvement in you cardio and strength at all fitness levels.

    • Q: Can I start training if I have an old injury or currently recovering from an injury.

      I would always recommend to consult with you doctor before training.

      Many of our students have old injuries and the work around them, If you have a knee issue then just don’t kick with that leg, go at you own pace. Self-defense training is not all about fitness. You will need to adapt the techniques to your abilities.

    • Q: Are these class violet? Can I get hurt?

      Learning self defense is not violet. Our team of instructors are experts in teaching self defense and they are also trained in teaching safely. Many times you will practice with a partner and review techniques slowly until you master them, before practicing at a faster pace.

      As in any sport there is always a risk of injury, We make sure students are practicing safely at all times, with the appropriate safety gear.

    • Q: What’s the environment of these classes, Fun or Serious?

      Our classes are a good mix of fun and serious. There are times in class when focus and concentration is important to work on your techniques. We also have times when we are having some fun with different drills.
